On June 21, during the 30th Beijing International Book Fair, the "2024 BIBF International Illustration Forum", hosted by China National Publications Import and Export (Group) Co., Ltd., and the inaugural "BIBF Illustration Night and 2024 BIBF International Illustration Awards Ceremony", co-hosted by CNPIEC and the International Cooperation Publishing Committee of the Publishers Association of China, were successfully held.

With the theme of "Innovative Development of the Illustration Industry under the Background of Globalization", 2024 BIBF International Illustration Forum, from the perspectives of publishers, writers, illustration artists and entrepreneurs in art-related industries, deeply analyzed the current situation and prospects of the illustration industry at home and abroad, and jointly discussed how to better apply the illustration to empower various fields.

Mr. Li Wenkai, Deputy General Manager of China National Publications Import and Export (Group) Co., Ltd., delivered a speech on behalf of the organizers, announcing the establishment of the BIBF International Illustration Awards Organizing Committee and reading the list of its members. Ms. Yu Rong, Renowned illustrator and Director of the Jiangnan Culture International Communication Research Center, Soochow University; Ms. Selena Lee, Vice President of Scholastic Asia; Mr. Chen Sheng, Deputy General Manager of Posts & Telecom Press; Mr. Philippe Werck, Founder and CEO of Belgium's Clavis Publishing; Mr. Feng Ye, Associate Professor of the Picture Book Creation Studio at the Central Academy of Fine Arts; Norwegian illustrator Ms. Kristin Roskifte; and Mr. Yan Jiawei, General Manager of Shanghai Maries Paint Material Co., Ltd., attended the forum and delivered keynote speeches. The forum was hosted by Ms. Chen Hui, a professor at the School of Chinese Language and Literature of Beijing Normal University and Director of the Picture Book Creation Research Center.

In an era of rapid AI development, many artists feel lost and fearful of being replaced by AI. However, the beauty of illustration lies in the creativity and aesthetics provided by the human brain. This event inspired and instilled confidence in illustrators, with the hope that outstanding illustrators will continue to thrive and create more imaginative and aesthetically pleasing works.

论坛结束后，主办方于中信书店（启皓北京店）举办了“BIBF插画之夜暨2024BIBF国际插画大赛颁奖仪式”。

中国版协国际合作出版工作委员会主任陈炜、中国图书进出口（集团）有限公司总经理助理雷建华、著名插画艺术家郁蓉、中央美术学院绘本系副教授冯烨等出版界、文艺界、新闻媒体界100余人参加了活动。

中国版协国际合作出版工作委员会主任陈炜宣读了本届大赛BOB全球大奖、金奖、专家推荐奖获奖者名单。其中，全场最大奖项BOB全球大奖由来自中国的插画家詹欣媛获得，她的作品《时与光剧院——长信宫灯》以大家熟悉的国宝长信宫灯入手，带大家回溯一段难忘的历史故事。

据统计，2024BIBF国际插画大赛的作品征集类别涵盖了出版、编辑、封面、广告、科技、产品、特定主题7大类。本次大赛作品来自46个国家和地区的创作者投稿，反响热烈，与会嘉宾纷纷表示，插画大赛将是国际插画领域的新风向标。
